Sophia joined the Klab as a Research Study Coordinator in 2026. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and graduated in 2025 from Grinnell College with a BA in Biology and a minor in Neuroscience. As an undergrad, she was a research fellow at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, comparing CNO and JIA clinical characteristics. Previously, she worked as a Patient Care Coordinator connecting patients in the Seattle area with medical resources and professionals.  Sophia hopes to pursue a graduate degree in genetic counseling and eventually provide care and support to children and families with rare genetic disorders. In her free time, she enjoys painting, exploring bookstores, and hiking around the many beautiful trails in the PNW.
